The Site Doctor delivers his diagnosis on the BBC homepage

March 13th, 2008

Each month, we are asked by Creative Match to review a website of their choice. This month we were given the new BBC homepage to cast our expert eye over.

You can read the article in full at http://www.creativematch.co.uk/viewNews/?95654, but to summarise, we liked the the fact that it was clearer, easier to read and could be personalised (just by entering your location you can get news and weather specific to that area). What we didn’t like was the unnecessary colour changes to the full site each time you click on a tab on the main leader board, and that the main navigation sits below the page fold - not very user friendly! And the jury’s still out about the old fashioned clock in the top right hand corner.
